		<description>Good post. With regards to your first point, one phrase that gets tossed around alot is that developers must be ego-less.  Check it at the door, buddy. Your kick-ass &#039;tude and arrogance has been officially uninvited.  While I agree with this to a certain extent, I don&#039;t think that ego is a discrete item (i.e. either you have it or you don&#039;t). It&#039;s more similar to an amount, like the volume on your stereo.  You have to turn it up just enough to be heard.  Turning it up too much makes your ears bleed.

(Ok, so I&#039;m actually kind of proud of this analogy...now for homework, figure out if, like sound, it is increased in logarithmic steps...)</description>
