From my collection…

I thought it was time to post some quotes about our society and this country. Enjoy!

“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. ”
- Benjamin Franklin

“A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.”
- Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969), Inaugural Address, January 20, 1953

“The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life. ”
- Theodore Roosevelt

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
- Edmund Burke (1729-1797)

“A great empire, like a great cake, is most easily diminished at the edges. ”
- Benjamin Franklin

“The instinct of nearly all societies is to lock up anybody who is truly free. First, society begins by trying to beat you up. If this fails, they try to poison you. If this fails too, they finish by loading honors on your head.”
- Jean Cocteau (1889-1963)

Memories

On the old blog, I posted something called ‘cessation’. It was interesting, and for some reason I started thinking about it again today. I might post it… There are a few other things I might post as well. We’ll see.

I’m adding the Reviews tab. I’ll put one of my reviews up there as well.

Some things are just awesome. You know what I mean? Yeah, life is cool.
