pink flower cupcake

When making the choice in cupcakes, it’s important to be judicial. An ill-chosen cupcake is more than just a crime against society; it blasphemes all that is good and tasty.

Take, for example, the pink frosting flower atop a white frosting cupcake.

silly boy

I have achieved new heights. Or depths, depending on if you are looking up or looking down.

You’re flying along pretty high until you realize that you, foolish boy, don’t actually have wings. Truly a Buzz Lightyear moment.

Then again, thinking about that analogy, thats not completely correct. You do have wings. Just not air. You find that you’re really flying in a vacuum. And anyone who knows anything about aerodynamics knows how much lift that will produce…

Everything comes down to expectations. When you think something will (or should) be a certain way and it isn’t, there is disappointment. Another problem is that it might well be the way you think it should be, but you’re just looking at different external indicators.

This is something that could be gone into at length, but I won’t at the moment.

And that concludes my thought for the day.

Okay, so its sappy. What do you want me to do about it?

Quote for today:

“What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined together to strengthen each other in all labour, to minister to each other in all sorrow, to share with each other in all gladness, to be one with each other in the silent unspoken memories?”
-George Eliot
